How We Collect SMS Consent

MoodMirror sends SMS messages only to users who explicitly opt in. Consent is collected in the following ways:

When a user adds their phone number to their MoodMirror account and creates an SMS reminder, they are explicitly opting in to receive reminder messages. The user must:

  1. Provide their phone number in account settings.
  2. Create an SMS reminder and choose a delivery time.
  3. Confirm they want to receive SMS reminders.

Observer reminders

When a subject invites an observer and enables SMS reminders for that observer, the observer must accept the invitation and provide their phone number. The observer explicitly opts in by:

  1. Accepting the invitation to observe.
  2. Providing their phone number in their account settings.
  3. Enabling SMS reminders for the relationship.
